Mills Family Mission

The Mills live on the campus of the Alpha Omega Bible School in Ocosingo, Chiapas, in the Southeastern region of the country. Chiapas is the state just West of Guatemala. Tuxtla Gutierrez is the capital of the state, and the community of Ocosingo is about 3 hours Northeast. Ocosingo is a community about the size of Mount Airy, NC and is similar in terrain. Although winters aren't as cold, the climate is similar to the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC. Approximately 80-90% of the residents of Ocosingo are of Mayan descent (from non-Spanish speaking indigenous groups). In addition to work in the state of Chiapas, the Mills also work in neighboring Tabasco (just to the North, with Villahermosa as the capital) and in Vera Cruz (to the Northwest).
